As Parker & Sons commemorates its 50th anniversary, it's not just about reflecting on half a century of service in the Arizona community – it's about giving back in a big way.
In a heartfelt gesture to thank the customers and community who have been integral to our journey, we've embarked on a mission to complete 50 acts of kindness throughout the year. Our first act, a partnership with Vitalant for a blood drive, wasn't just a success – it was a testament to the spirit of giving that runs deep in our team. This drive, surpassing all donation targets and saving up to 63 lives, is just the beginning of our year-long commitment to kindness, gratitude, and community service.
We joined hands with Vitalant for a blood drive event on Friday, December 15, 2023. The goal was set at 15 procedures, but the Parker & Sons employee response exceeded expectations, with 21 life-saving blood donations performed!
Twenty-one of our employees generously contributed without a single deferral. Among them were 13 first-time donors. Parker & Sons wishes to thank all their employees who donated and Vitalant for their help in facilitating the event.
Account Manager Janet Hopkins from Vitalant expressed her gratitude at the outcome, stating,
“Wow!! Parker and Son’s first-time drive was amazing. The goal was 15 procedures, and we collected 21 procedures. We registered 21 donors with 0 deferrals and 13 first-time donors. I am amazed at everything you put into this drive, and I can’t thank you enough for all you did. We have been in critical need all year long, and this helped our blood supply tremendously. In all, the drive was able to save up to 63 lives. Thank you!”
